Emotion discipline can reset hormonal balance

All the youngsters gave definitions coming from the modern sciences about hormones and hormonal imbalance. But, all those Shreya Nayak interviewed for krrisha.com this week more or less attributed it to changing life- style patterns. Well, that is true, but there is a deeper reason for it all. The moment we know about it, we will have our hands on the hormones’ control panel. Isn't it amazing?

Let’s get deeper

According to old Rishi wisdom, a hormone is liquid energy. It is called रस  in Sanskrit.

रस means a chain of liquid energy sequence, which triggers bodily functions at various levels.  But, what controls रस? Krishna defines in the seventh discourse that ego-memory-emotion sequencing controls the flow of hormones in the body. They should be in a radiating sequence, like you find it in the sun—the swell in the surface of the sun from its core, radiates energy, which triggers off as a chain of spraying rays.  The same way, in our body, the emotions (from the core), memory and ego and the nervous system is the right sequence.  But, almost 99.9% of us are not aware of the fact that emotional energy is buried in the memory and is responsible for our hormonal functioning.  Because emotional energy alone converts into hormonal energy through an intricate process.Every body has been designed in such a way that all the hormones remain perfectly balanced. But, when we develop consciousness of the relative world,  we begin to use our ego more and allow it to interfere with our basic routines in subtler ways. This obstructs the swell in the natural emotional energy and what happens then is that our ego becomes the channel of trigger, which often upsets the natural flow of  hormonal energy.

Like, many of us eat at midnight because of our 27x7 work schedules. This gradually upsets our natural body clock and that means our nominal trigger. Over-eating, over-drinking, over -indulgence, over-recreation all can be linked to the imbalance in our emotions.

How to reset it

If you can regulate your emotions, through whichever way you prefer, you can reset your hormonal balance. Once your emotional balance is achieved, hormonal balance is piece of cake. The entire Bhagwad Gita discourse is about your emotional balance . However, krrisha research team has devised a system drawn from the Bhagwad Gita which helps one reset emotional and hormonal balance in a matter of week. Those who are interested can join workshops on hormonal balance by the organisation.

What ‘upset’ means?

It means you will have mood swings and bouts of anger, fear and over-sentimentality. This not only affects your body but also your inter-human relations.

So if you want hormonal balance, you will have to balance your emotions first through psycho-physical ways. Without emotional balance hormonal balance through medicines will only be another blow to your system.

Of course, resetting an upset system needs energy, time and discipline. But, discipline is better which keeps us emotionally and physically healthy.

Most of the hormonal imbalances are caused by certain external factors such as stress or hormonal medications. It can also be caused by any medical condition that impacts and involves the endocrine systems or glands. Oestrogen, Progesterone and Testosterone are more likely to fluctuate and cause imbalance in the body especially during the period of adolescence.

Hormonal imbalance can be treated with certain medications such as Metformin, Levothyroxine etc. It can also be treated by certain natural remedies as adopting a healthy lifestyle habit with adding nutritious diet, exercising, yoga etc.

Inference: Hormonal imbalance is caused by external factors. It can be treated through proper medication and rejuvenation activities.

Hormones such as oestrogen, testosterone, adrenaline, and insulin are extremely important chemical messengers that affect many aspects of health. Their fluctuation and level of hormone is controlled by endocrine system mainly. Proper intake of food with essential oils, eat healthy, have enough sleep, beware of medications and birth control drugs etc.

Inference: The cause of the hormonal imbalance depends on which gland is affected by drugs, diabetes etc. Proper diet, rest and not taking birth control medicines can prove to be a vital step to prevent it.

Hormonal imbalances are when a certain hormone either is released in more amounts or in fewer amounts. Hormonal imbalances in human body are caused due to various reasons known and unknown some of which are pituitary tumors, congenital adrenal hyperplasia, endocrine gland injury, Cushing's syndrome (high levels of cortical and aldesterone), solitary thyroid nodules etc. Most of the hormones that are released in our body fluctuate in monitored quantities. But some of the hormones like cortisol, aldesterone, thyroid, oestrogens and progesterone in females and testosterone in males are mostly blamed for causing hormonal imbalances in our body.Having a balanced diet that encompasses all the necessary vitamins and minerals for the human body, getting proper sleep, meditation and exercise, mainly focusing on our gut health etc precautions are necessary to be taken so as to avoid hormonal imbalances in our body.

Inference: many diseases mental and physical can be the cause for hormonal imbalance. Proper diet, sleep and meditation can help prevent hormonal imbalance.

Besides these there are other hormones that fluctuate as well. By having a proper diet, proper sleep, having cruciferous vegetables, less intake of sugar, consider adapt gens, monitor stress levels etc.

Inference: There are various causes for hormonal imbalance diabetes, parathyroid, pituitary tumors being some. Proper diet can help manage it.

Compiled by Shreya Nayak

Hormonal imbalances occur when there is too much or too little of a hormone in the blood stream. Because of their essential role in the body, even a small hormonal imbalance can cause side effects throughout the body. There are varied causes of hormonal imbalance and the causes differ for both the sexes. For e.g. Women naturally experience several periods of hormonal imbalance throughout their lifetime, including during puberty, pregnancy, childbirth and breast-feeding, prior menopause, menopause and post menopause. Whereas on the other hand men also experience periods of hormonal imbalance during puberty and ageing. Oestrogen, Progesterone, testosterone, thyroid, androgens etc are the hormones that are susceptible to fluctuate the most in the human body.Hormones are important for regulating major bodily processes, thus a hormone imbalance is very necessary to be cured but in most of the causes certain imbalances are very difficult, time-consuming and expensive to cure. As it is said” prevention is better than cure”, thus the preventions that can be taken for hormonal imbalance are hormone replacement medications, effonithine, anti-androgen medications, maintaining a healthy body weight, eating a nutritious and balanced diet, getting enough sleep, leading a proper lifestyle, avoiding indulging in alcohol, drugs, tobacco, practicing good personal hygiene, reducing and managing stress etc. Hormonal imbalances can be very dangerous at times for the human body thus taking these necessary precautions is very essential at times.
