What a website! It is a goldmine of spiritual sciences. We had heard that ancient Indian thought is scientific and practical. I visited India to verify the information. I came back with reverse experience . Now I feel there is truth in what I had rejected as a myth. Keep up the good work. अर्थो वाच्यश्च लक्ष्यश्च व्यंग्यश्चेति त्रिधा मत:।

वाच्योऽर्थोऽभिधया बोध्यो लक्ष्यो लक्षणया मत: ।
व्यंग्यो व्यंजनया ता: स्युस्तिस्र:: शब्दस्य शक्तय: ।।

पद/शब्द के अर्थ के तीन प्रकार हैं:
1. वाच्य
2. लक्ष्य
3. व्यंग्य
यह अर्थ के तीन प्रकार शब्द की तीन शक्तियों द्वारा बोधित होते हैं और यह शक्तियाँ प्रस्तुत हैं:
1. अभिधा
2. लक्षणा
3. व्यंजना

वाच्य प्रकार शब्द का यथावत अर्थ होता है; अभिधा वाच्य अर्थ का बोध कराने वाली शक्ति है।
लक्ष्य प्रकार शब्द का आरोपित अर्थ होता है; लक्ष्णा मुख्य अर्थ से अन्य अर्थ की प्रतीति कराने वाली शक्ति है।
व्यंग्य प्रकार शब्द द्वारा विपरीत अर्थ की अभिव्यक्ति होता है; व्यंजना अन्य शक्तियों से विरत अर्थ व्यक्त कराने वाली शक्ति है।

A meaning of a word is of three kinds(as presented by the samsakrit grammarians):

1. Vācya
2. Lakśya
3. Vyañgya

These three kinds of meanings are conveyed through the following three powers of the word viz:

1. Abhidhā
2. Lakśanā
3. Vyanjanā

The first i.e. Vācya meaning, which is the straight/ exact meaning of the word, is expressed through abhidhā.
The second i.e. Lakśya meaning, which is the intended meaning of the word, is expresses through lakśanā.
The third i.e. Vyangya meaning, which is of more significance and exact opposite of the word, is expressed through vyanjanā.

These three powers alone convey the entire meaning of word and what took so long to be uttered is mesmerically put in every single one of these blogs so simply and beautifully; each of these is expressed with stunning exactitude through these blog post. Crisp, precise, empowered sentences are always the most simply put stunning examples of the three powers put together.
These are akin to solar quantum of wisdom, intellect, gravity. The words are alive and स्पन्दित by the powers!!!
