God can’t have doublespeak!

Just cut man out of religious books and
God’s message will resonate again.

By Vivek Sharma

If God is One, His message shall be one throughout the records of His statements—the Bible, the Quran, The Bhagwad Gita, or the Vedas.
How can God be One and His messages be different and contradictory. They must be complementary as they have come out of the same God. So, wherever you find the variance, take it as the word of man and not God. Isn’t it?
So if the God of the Quran says something else and the God of the Bible some other things then they are not the work of God. They have been restricted or distorted by man.

Out of Context

The simplest test is to read the statements assigned to God without context. Now try to understand them and you shall find them echoing solidarity of principles. It is the context which limits the universal message to a historical background. That is demeaning the word of God. It is because a context is the just a situation for the Divine to manifest universal ideas. But, we men, dictated by our ego and memory, always over-stretch the context and try to cage the message of God in the historicity of things. The infinite cannot be caged and hence it carries the principles which apply to the context as much as they apply to situations out of context. The moment people evolve to this they will stop fighting My God versus Your God and for sure know that there is One manifesting same principles in different situations or contexts!
If we read the Bhagwad Gita as the message of God in the Mahabharat context only, we shall lose the universal ideas resonating therein. If we study the Quran in the limited contexts, we shall only limit its universal appeal. So read the books of God without context and you will get the right message—cut man out of it and you will find God’s message vibrating through everything even looking different. To your surprise you shall find only one message resonating through them all!

Let’s Talk of Quran

Mohammad received the inspiration from God in the form of Suras. Man arranged them in the holy book according to his understanding of things and not as they got manifested through Mohammad. The actual chronological record is

(1)Al Alak 96

(2)Al Qlam 68

(3)Al Muzzamil 73

(4)Al-Muddaththir 74

(5)Al- Ftiha 1 and so on.

It is just for reference. Now it is important to read the Quran in the original order as the message systematically draws out universal principles, which resonate in every religion, especially the Sanatan Dharm, which is nothing but Universal Religion. In order to cut man out of the book and get God’s message straight, I give one example, one Sura with its meaning and how it is universal. It is not to demean or eulogise the Quran, but to prove the point that the word of God cannot be different in different books!

Al Alak: Sura 96/verses 19

It simply says this. But, we are losing its meaning in the context (read translations for reference). It simply focuses on recitation of the name of the Creator. There are 99 names of God given in the Quran. Choose the special name given therein of the Creator and recite it, is the message. Here Mohammad is simply talking about the Creative Power of God and the benefits of reciting this power’s name.
The sura means: Recite the name of God, the name which
shows that He is the Creator of all. The name which describes His Creative power.
What is that power? The power which creates man out of a blob—out of matter. His creative power is such that It can turn the unintelligent matter into an intelligent man, who sees, moves, thinks and commands the world. The name of that power should be recited, is the command.
Recite that name, as the Creator is most gracious—He will grant you powers that you think you don’t have. He will manifest His grace through you if you recite His name.
He is the same gracious lord, who taught people the use of pen and ink to write and communicate. Man wouldn’t have learnt the science of communication had He not taught them this. He teaches man what he doesn’t know. This creative power is such that it skills you in what you think you don’t have. But, man gives credit to himself for such guidance from that power! This is funny. Isn’t it? As Man thinks he is self-sufficient, he is independent and knows everything. Even the understanding that One has come out of that Lord and shall return to Him, makes man swell his chest with pride and in this pride he does whatever he thinks he can. But, actually, it is this power of creation which is doing everything, not man.
Just see those who have forbidden such a behaviour and see that everything is being carried out by the creative power of God. Such a man prays to Him and thinks that he is the servant of the Lord. But, the man who thinks that he has come from the Lord and will go back to Him and moves around with arrogance and attributing everything to himself instead of God. See that such a man only tells lies and going against God, the Creative power. He forgets that God is watching. If such a person doesn’t give up the false pride and takes the right path, we ( the composite power of Humanity, as represented by God’s will), representing the creative power, shall hold him by the forelock and drag him. Forelock represents the outward consciousness, generated by the frontal lobe of the brain. Holding by the outward consciousness means stopping his power to reason and drag him , where? To the right path. Why drag? To give him the frictional realisation that what he thinks is wrong and against the natural course of creative law of God. This is a painful way to realisation. The lying sinful forelock—the reason he uses to lie and commit wrong deeds, shall be seized by the Creative power of the lord. Now let him call his concourse—means those who reason like him. Let him seek shelter wherever he thinks will he be heard and helped. We also call on the police to chastise him. It means the Creative power of the lord shall overpower them all, including him, representing their counter-force or counter logic.
Never ever shall you follow such a man, whose reason and supporters have been restrained by Lord’s power. That means this creative power of lord restrains anti-God logic along with those ideas, thoughts and people who support it. Thus never ever go in that direction. Instead you pray, surrender to this power and thereby get nearer to Him or His creative might, which can turn a matter into intelligent man and intelligent man into matter ( the one whose evil reasoning and supporters have been restrained.)

Sanatan Thought

God created the universe with His Creative power, say the Vedas. God’s creative power skills man, this special power is referred to as Saraswati, the goddess of learning and creation. In some Puranas, the Creator is Brahma. Whatever the name may be, the principle is the same. In Shakta thought, this power is called Mahasarswati, Brhamani, without Her grace, you cannot learn, create and counter negativities.

The Bible

Jeremiah 10:12-13
It is He who made the earth by His power, Who established the world by His wisdom; And by His understanding He has stretched out the heavens. When He utters His voice, there is a tumult of waters in the heavens, And He causes the clouds to ascend from the end of the earth; He makes lightning for the rain, And brings out the wind from His storehouses.

Genesis 1:26-28

Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. God blessed them; and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth."
Here also the Creative power of God has the similar principles. Man rules the earth because this creative power of His wills so.

Just draw such principles out from every book of God instead of talking about man’s intervention in God’s work—My God versus Your God.
God is One. His message is one. Differences have been created by man. Cut man out and God will shine through every book of religion once again!
